Where to find it
The Audience link panel opens on its own once the link is ready.
You will find three things in it. The QR code, a Copy link button for pasting into chat or an email, and Save image so you can drop the QR into a slide or print it.
The link works for the whole recording. You do not need a new one if someone joins late.
Putting the QR on a screen
If you are already showing the transcript on a screen, the stage display can show the QR code next to the text. Open the Stage display panel and set QR to “QR + text”.
Pick the biggest size that still leaves the transcript readable from the back row. On a wide projector that is usually the medium setting.
What your audience sees
They choose their own language from the ones you picked before you started. Someone in the third row can read German while the person next to them reads English.
The audience view only shows finished sentences. The half-recognised words that flicker and correct themselves stay on your screen, not theirs.
On the day
- Put the QR up before you start speaking and leave it there for the first minute or two. People need a moment to get their phones out.
- Print a copy and tape it near the door. Latecomers can scan on their way in without asking anyone.
- Say out loud that captions are available. Plenty of people who would use them will not scan a code they cannot explain.
