Simple mode or advanced mode

Inclutra has two modes. Simple is the default, and it is the right one for most events. Here is how to tell which you need.

Simple mode

One room, one computer, the microphone in front of you.

You record with a microphone attached to the machine you are sitting at. Built in, USB, or a wireless receiver plugged into USB. You share a link or a QR code with the room, and you can open a stage display for a projector.

If that describes your event, stay here. Nothing in advanced mode will make it work better.

Advanced mode

Separate devices, more than one room, or a dedicated machine on the projector.

Advanced mode adds remote recorders and paired displays. The microphone can sit on a laptop at the lectern while you run the session from the back of the room, and a third machine can drive the screen.

It is also what you want when two rooms are running at once and you need both transcripts side by side in your dashboard.

Switching between them

Use Switch to advanced mode in the dashboard header. Inclutra shows you what each mode does before it applies the change, so you can back out if it was not what you meant.

Your recordings are kept either way and the switch works in both directions, so there is no harm in looking.
