Opening it
Open the Stage display panel while a recording is running and open the display from there. It opens in its own browser tab, so you can drag that tab to the second screen and put it full screen without disturbing your dashboard.
Sizing it for the room
Set the font size for the back row, not for the laptop in front of you. Walk to the back once and look. It is the only reliable test.
As a starting point, make the text big enough that two or three lines fill the width. The default is light text on black, which holds up on most projectors, including tired ones.
Only show final text
Turn this on if the moving text is distracting the room.
Live transcription puts words on screen as it recognises them, then corrects itself a moment later. On a laptop that reads as responsive. On a three metre screen it can be hard to watch.
Turn on Only show final text in the stage menu and the screen shows finished sentences only. Transcription carries on exactly as before. This changes what the screen shows, nothing else.
Language
The stage display shows one language at a time, chosen in the stage display controls. Your audience is not affected by that choice and can still pick their own language on their phones.
